Four Blood Moons
“The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives.” – Acts 2:20
I was scrolling through Netflix, and found a teaching on the four blood moons, similar to what I once saw John Hagee preach on television. Do I believe that God has and will use the moon as a sign? Absolutely! He used a star to guide the wise men to Jesus.
Should we put all of our focus on this? Not really. I believe we are to absolutely be watchful, and expect that we are going to see a lot of what the bible prophecies in end times. It’s fascinating really, but the bible also says that Jesus will come like a thief in the night , and we do not know the time, nor the hour so we have to be ready. (2 Peter 3:10)
I think that this teaching on the four blood moons is absolutely fascinating to scientist and biblical scholars alike. It is a great sign from God that we should not ignore, but we already know that Jesus is coming back. God isn’t going to tell us the time nor the hour, but we can be certain that when a great phenomenon like this one is put forth by the hand of God, not only can we find beauty in it, but we can know that God is working on something great for his people. I do not believe in spreading an apocalyptic message and causing fear around the world, that is not what this is about. Jesus died so that we might live, and have eternity with Him. He wants us to choose him out of love, not out of fear. God loves us, that is the real message.
The last of the tetrad (four blood moons) is set to occur on the eve of Sept 28th. Each of the four blood moons are connected to the four major Jewish Holidays. There is a real significance in these four blood moons which have happened in a span of just two years, which is very rare. The last three times the blood moons have occurred, were during important times in Jewish history. Could there be another change coming?
The last phase of blood moons have occurred on the following dates:
- Jewish Passover on April 15, 2014
- Passover on April 4, 2015
- Sukkot on Oct. 8, 2014
- Sukkot on Sept. 28, 2015
It is said that we will not see another blood moon until approximately another eighteen years. It is quite a phenomenon that many are in awe of.
We are watching Israel as it’s predicted that change will come to Israel during this next phase. I certainly am expecting miracles and great things for Israel; however, I’m also ensuring I live everyday purposefully and praying that I am ready for Jesus when He does come back for his people, however the events occur.
Perhaps it is a warning sign that we need to be more watchful, and spend more time in prayer as this dispensation comes to a close. That we need to be sending out a message to the world that Jesus IS coming back, it’s not a myth, and not to be caught unaware. (Luke 21:34-35) These signs are a gift, that what God said would happen is true, and we have something to look forward to! Praise the Lord.
“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” – Revelation 22:20
