    Desert Rose

“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose”.  – Isaiah 35:1 The desert rose or, “Adenium Obesum,” is such a resilient and beautiful flower.   Some of the most beautiful of roses come from desert like areas such as, Israel.  These roses are regarded as a miracle, due to the harsh climate they strive in; however, it symbolizes the spirit of the Israelis.  They hold such diligence and perseverance in spite of life’s challenges. Sometimes during our walk with God, we find ourselves in a very deserted barren dry land.  Where we feel there is no where to…

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

The picture of the little girl, sitting in a field picking daisies apart singing, “He loves me, He loves me not.”  I used to enjoy playing this game with my friends.  We all had our childhood crushes, or at least the fantasy of what our future boyfriend or husband might be like.  It was a harsh reality down the road to realize, that sometimes the answer would be, “He loves me not.”  The dating world can be a horrible place.  In the movies, you see the man reject the woman, and then either the woman holds her head high and moves on, or you get the hopeless romantic who becomes love…

You never know what you’re gonna get.” – Forrest Gump  I think Forest really had something in, “that there,” statement.  You really don’t know what life is going to throw at you, or hand you sometimes.  But when it does, there is a place we can turn to, where there is always an answer – The Word of God. In the word of God, you can open the book to any page, and find, “something,” you need.  You may not know exactly what God is going to say; sometimes there will be conviction, sometimes revelation, or sometimes just a…

    The Gift

“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7 I hear a lot during Christmas how people are dreading all the shopping they are going to have to do, and how broke they will be. Then you have people who starts months in advance, and careful plan and budget toward their gifts. I like to put a lot of thought into my gifts, and think about who I’m giving it to, and what message I want to convey. Sometimes I give in response to what the need…

    The Promise Remains

Who is He that the angels of heavens sing his name? All of creation utters the same.  His word surrounds me everywhere I go;  Redeemed by His blood, onward I sow.  Standing on the word,  clinging steadfast by His grace.Holding onto promises, after Jesus took my place  Greater love has no one than this,  that he lay down His life for His friends.  A story with no end, yet ever after we’ll be;  Living with Him eternally free. A promise remains,“I will never leave thee.”  A word is spoken;  All sin is gone. I pray Lord help me stand, let my heart be like the man, that loved the world enough to…
