    Miracle Oil

“Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.” – 2 Kings 4:1 We all love a good miracle story.  Especially when tragedy strikes we like to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  There are many miraculous stories in the Bible; however, this one was really an eye opener for me. I believe God brought me to it for a reason to teach me something specifically; however, I’m…

Do you hear what I hear?

Sometimes I walk, just for the sake of walking.  I like the smell and the feel of the fresh air, the ability to clear my mind as I gaze among the greener things of life.  I take in the sights and sounds around me, and just let the peace of God come over me.  It’s not always that way; quiet, or peaceful.  Sometimes the traffic starts to whirl, buzz, honk, and then my mind follows suit.  Like a highway of thoughts in need of a traffic controller. He could fix…

“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” – James 2:17 I found my daughter’s pride ring today, after a year of thinking it was gone.  I prayed and prayed for God to help me find it, and then I waited in faith.  I eventually gave up after searching high and low, and pronounced it gone. It was only when I went to vacuum under my bed, and really do a good job of it, that I saw that shiny gold ring sitting there, amidst the dust bunnies and dog hair that had accumulated.  I was overcome with Joy!  I thanked God…

    Nature

Whispering wind upon the sea Whisper sweet nothings unto me A rolling thunder of the coast A sound of beauty, full of boast Crashing waves and cliffs of art Flow into the streams of my heart Fly o’er head into a blue bowled sky Sing songs until the fire that shines Tidal waves and mountains that roar Birds that sing and eagles that soar The brave world serenades the moon As creatures make for early June Suddenly the light of rebirth prowls upon the soil of the earth Rise up sweet miracles Be born Security surpassed the storm
